Wild Meadow Flower Planting

Yesterday a child from each of the classes in Year 1 to 6 went on a trip down to Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Field, Bracebridge to take part in the planting of a wildflower meadow to commemorate the Centenary of 100 years since the start of WW1.

We met the Shire horse, Big Lad, and watched him farrow the field before scattering our seeds over the ground.

The meadow should start to flower by the Summer holidays and will be in full bloom by the end, hopefully. Why not go down to take a look and take a moment to remember all those who fought for us during the First World War and every conflict since.
