Planned family/adult learning events for the coming year

Cooking on a budget – A useful and practical series of sessions to help give you more ideas for tasty, healthy family meals which don’t take forever to cook and don’t break the bank!

Aeroplane building – Did you see the photos of the go-cart building from last year? Well, this is another very well attended course where adults and children will work together to build their very own aeroplane.

Toddler talk – Does what is says on the tin! Practical tips for getting your toddlers talking. Good speech and language skills are vital for your child’s development and have a huge impact on how they do once they start Nursery and school.

Food Safety – Following attendance at this course, you will have earned the basic Food Safety accreditation. This is a requirement in some jobs and is also good for ensuring safety at home.

First Aid – Again, another highly practical course to enable you to develop confidence in administering basic first aid.

Family SEAL – SEAL stands for Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning. This course. In order to learn and develop well, children need to feel secure and have well developed social and emotional skills. This course will show parents how they can support the work school does on helping children develop relationships and manage their feelings. It is practical and will involve your child.

Incredible Years Baby Course – This is a highly successful course which offers parents of babies practical advice and support in many different aspects of looking after a baby. Participants can share ideas and support each other, in what is a time of great joy, but which also brings many worries.

If you are interested in any of these courses or would like further information about them – content, dates, times, venues etc, then please contact the school office and I will be happy to help. We would also be very happy to hear of any suggestions you may have for further courses you would like to see us put on.
